Review: Cisco CDP Monitor is an easy-to-use program that allows you to review and diagnostic network. It can be used by network administrators and engineers, for example. The interface of the application is simple and easy to work with. So you can check the ID, type, Port ID, CDP IP address, software version, platform, native VLAN status, TTL (time to live) and VTP management domain (VLAN Trunking Protocol) for each connected device. By opening the context menu, you can get a selected neighbor or remove them all, while on the lower part of the screen, you can check event information (type, date, time). CDP list can be exported to file for further analysis. Cisco CDP Monitor integrates various setup functions relating NIC CDP, CDP data (hello, holding timer device ID, platform, OS version), executable (parameters), email (eg SMTP server and port number) e-mail information (subject, body), and others (eg messages, log name). The program is a low amount of CPU and system memory, so it shouldn be a strain on your computer's performance. It has a good response time and supports keyboard shortcuts. We do not have any errors opståri during our test and Cisco CDP Monitor does not freeze or crash. There is no help file available, Cisco CDP Monitor is primarily aimed at users with experience in network protocols.
